An exhibition of lens-based works is being organised by AND at ‘eventSpace’ during December and January. The artists invited to take part in this project have used the lens in their work, contributed to AND Journal of Art & Art Education or shown work in AND eventSpace gallery.
The essence of the project is that the contributing artists’ works shares a making time-frame as well as the frame of the exhibition space. The making time frame for the new work will be set within the duration of the show – December 15 (2018) to Fabuary 15 (2019)
The media used is any that makes use of a lens and references (or moves on from) the artist’s work published in the AND Journal or shown in ‘eventSpace’.
The works will be shown in conventional gallery space and/or in the adjacent ‘contrasting’ space for projection, sound and performance. Depending on the format, it will be up to the individual artists to install their work in consultation with AND.
